Dancing with the Stars: Camilla Parker Bowles makes a surprise appearance in the finals

This Saturday, December 19, Camilla Parker Bowles performed in the final of the British version of Dancing With The Stars. A surprise appearance made by a big fan.

While the French were at the rendezvous for the Miss France 2021 contest this Saturday, December 19, on the other side of the Channel, the British followed closely the final of Danse Avec Les Stars.

Or rather, Strictly Come Dancing, the Anglo-Saxon version of the program. On this occasion, an undeniable fan of the show spoke in a surprise appearance: Camilla Parker Bowles. Indeed, the Duchess of Cornwall was among the famous viewers who were invited to send a message of encouragement for this final episode of the eighteenth season of the program, won by a certain Bill Bailey.

“I’m very excited and I know who I’m going to vote for,” said Prince Charles’ wife. It was also an opportunity for her to address those who, from behind the scenes, made the show a success despite the coronavirus pandemic. “To all the people who were involved in the production, during this particularly difficult year, you gave us so much pleasure and you delighted the whole country!”

A passion that Camilla Parker Bowles shares with another member of the royal family. Before her, it was her son-in-law, Prince Harry, who was involved in Strictly Come Dancing through a recording that was revealed in November 2020 on BBC One.

The Duke of Sussex had reserved a surprise for a candidate by the name of JJ Chambers, whom he knows well. A former member of the Navy, Chambers was seriously injured by a bomb in 2011 during an intervention in Afghanistan. Back in the UK, he participated in the Invictus Games, launched by Meghan Markle‘s husband to honour military personnel injured in combat, and even won a medal. This participation allowed him to forge close ties with little Archie’s father.

The calm after the storm

An appearance which had been just as surprising as that of Camilla Parker Bowles, since January 2020, Prince Harry has been enjoying a peaceful daily life far from the Crown on the other side of the Atlantic.

After Canada, Prince William‘s younger brother took up residence in California with his small family. Having resigned as a senior member of the Firm, the Duke is now taking care of his conversion, notably with two juicy contracts signed with Netflix and Spotify.

And if a storm hit the Windsor-Mountbatten clan following the Megxit, he is now making it a point of honor to ease tensions with the monarchy, thus taking a few steps towards the Cambridge family.
