On August 11th, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s biography, “Finding Freedom”, will be released in bookstores. A book that the British crown fears because of the potential criticism made against Prince William.
Among the many writings on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, there is one that should make the British royal family shudder. On 11 August, aficionados of the crown will be able to discover the biography written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, Finding Freedom, which tells the story of the young couple, but also behind the scenes of the Megxit. 7
The two authors were thus able to hear the intimate confessions of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s relatives, determined to reveal the hell they experienced before and after their departure from the monarchy. The aim being “to deconstruct the many rumours and misconceptions surrounding Sussex”.
And certain statements could further fuel the animosity between the different camps. According to relatives of the royal family, interviewed by The Sun, The Firm fears in particular that the future king, Prince William, is described as “unpleasant, insensitive and unsupportive” towards his brother and his wife, especially at the time of the Megxit.
The consequences of such revelations could be as damaging as the interview with Princess Diana in 1995, these same sources warn. Indeed, in front of the journalist Martin Bashir, Lady Di had made this famous confidence: “We were three in this marriage”, in reference to her union with Prince Charles and the latter’s affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles.
Prince William, an “insensitive villain”?
The various sources thus describe the fear that Prince William might be portrayed “in a bad light”. “The concern is that (the book) will somehow portray him as an insensitive villain in the face of Harry and Meghan’s kindness and philanthropy,” the prying eyes of the Sun continue. Revelations that could put a definitive end to the process of rapprochement undertaken by the two brothers in recent weeks.
