This Saturday, February 20, Prince Charles visited his father who was hospitalized because of a malaise. During his visit to the hospital, the son of Queen Elizabeth II could not hold back his tears.
The emotion was intense for Prince Charles on Saturday, February 20. The heir to the throne visited his father, who was hospitalized after a malaise, on February 16, “on the advice of Her Royal Highness’s physician”. The Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to the King Edward VII Hospital in London, located in the chic Marylebone district of Westminster, and even had to extend his stay. The Duke of Cornwall was the first member of the royal family to visit his father. The monarchy is currently in turmoil following the official announcement by Meghan Markle and Harry that they are no longer active members of the royal family.
Prince Charles would have entered through a back door of the hospital and left after 30 minutes. As the photos show, Queen Elizabeth II’s son was overwhelmed with emotion as he visited his 99-year-old father, who is in very fragile health.
A spokesman for Clarence House confirmed that William and Harry’s father had returned to Highgrove after his visit. Prince Charles would have wanted to see his father because of his prolonged stay in hospital, as he had not seen him since Christmas due to national restrictions on the coronavirus pandemic. The Duke of Edinburgh should be able to return home within a week.
